Baby is due to arrive any minute... I am told he has fully withdrawn from his drug dependance.
That's what I am told but what is really the case I will find out over the next few hours...I expect a very unsettled baby with a jittery stiff little body with the look on his face that he's carrying the world on his shoulders... poor little mite!
I hope with lots of love and cuddles he will settle.
I am told he is very tiny, drug babies usually are.
I have gone through my blue cupboard and found a cute outfit for my new little bundle of blue.
Bottles are sterilized not much else to do now until he arrives.

ReplyDeleteBabycakes arrived after many hours wait, here I was expecting the delivery of an unsettled ,sad and tiny waif and in comes a beautiful happy bouncing baby boy with the cutest smile and giggle very unlike the dug babies that have previously come to stay...I had to put back the tiny baby clothes and search for the 'Budhha' size clothing.
I can see I am going to enjoy the coming months, he is a real toy!
He settled as soon as I wrapped him and put him down, we (Bree & I) woke him to feed him and he threw himself around and seemed disinterested his bottle...nappy change, OMG what a putrid bottom, raw and bleeding, so on with the sudocreme and change of formula coming up!
Luckily I have some lactose free in stock...I am sure in a few days time he will be more comfortable and his bottom will be free of rash from his constant pooping.
